It’s a dog’s life in Tampa! There are multiple dog- friendly beaches, hotels and bars in Tampa, making it the ultimate destination to open a pet grooming business. Last year, according to a report by WalletHub , Tampa is the most pet-friendly city in the United States! Orlando also made the top 5 on that list.

3. San Diego, California

San Diego ranks as the third most pet-friendly city in the United States, thanks to its numerous parks, pet-friendly restaurants and local pet businesses! During the summertime, San Diego hosts fun dog-friendly events like the Unleashed Surf Dog competition, Doggie Yoga and Pup Paddleboarding.

4. Austin, Texas

It’s no secret that Austin residents are dog lovers! Austin is known for its high numbers of dog-friendly shopping centers and restaurants, allowing canine companionship in more of the places people frequently visit. 5. Las Vegas, Nevada

It’s also a known fact that Vegas loves to splurge on their pets; the city ranks seventh among most pampered pet cities in the U.S, based on sales of pet-related items such as dog toys on Amazon.com

6. Saint Petersburg, Florida

This Sunshine City is super pet-friendly! From dog-friendly beaches to dog-friendly restaurants, Saint Petersburg is a pet paradise. Many of the restaurants offer a pup menu and there is even a food truck dedicated to dog treats! They even have a bar downtown Saint Petersburg that has a full bar and a dog park, making Saint Petersburg the perfect place to open a pet groomerie and boutique franchise.

7. San Francisco, California

10. New York City, New York

New York City is frequently ranked as one of the most dog-friendly cities in America. Huffington Post recently named the Big Apple the tenth best city in America for dogs, based on walkability, dog parks and dog-friendly restaurants and bars. Most public parks in New York City allow dogs to be off-leash from 9pm to 9am, making them dog walker hot spots!
